The Founder, Grant Consultant & Writer
Dr. Teresa Johnson is a Master Grant Writer and Organizational Development Trainer. She has over 25 years’ experience writing grants and has worked in the non-profit industry for over 25 years having recently served as the Executive Director for a local non-profit where she was charged with community revitalization activities, creating partnerships with residents, non-profits, law enforcement, governmental agencies and overall operations of the organization from fundraising to community engagement, program planning, marketing and talent recruitment.
Dr. Johnson currently serves as the Organizational Development Manager for a local transit agency where she is responsible for the professional development of employees and their upward mobility. Organizational development training encompasses a wide range of activities, and it often involves interventions at various levels within the organization. Some common elements of OD training include topics such as team building, leadership development, fundraising, and change management.
Dr. Johnson currently serves as Treasurer on the Northwest Community Health Alliance Board of Directors, which is a collaboration with Florida Atlantic University and Tabernacle Learning Center to provide health care access for the uninsured and under-insured populations of the Northwest community.
Dr. Johnson earned her Doctorate in Public Policy and Administration with a specialization in Non-Profit Leadership and Management from Walden University in 2020 after successfully defending her dissertation titled: The Black Church: Using Social Capital to Reach the Unchurched and Community. Dr. Johnson is a graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University having earned her Master’s in Organization Leadership and her Bachelors of Business Administration in Management graduating Cum Laude from Northwood University. Dr. Johnson is the author of Strategies to Grow Non-Profits | Overcome Challenges and Reach Your Full Potential -- a must read for those who manage people and lead organizations.
